Our products

Our family specializes in the making of honey-cakes. Nevertheless, we also produce candies and candles. Moreover, in summer months we also offer ice-cream to our dear customers.

But speaking about honey-cakes, I have to make things a little bit more clear-cut. The above phrase refers not only to doll-shaped cakes but also to 'honey-cookies' and a wide range of other sweets made of our special 'honey-dough'. Just to name some of these: blueberry-cakes, cocoa-stuffed and vanilla-flavoured cakes, cakes with poppy-seed, raisins, almonds, hazel-nuts, milk-chocolate and crystallyzed fruits. And the list is by no means complete.

Besides, no one can claim that we are unimaginative when it comes to different shapes and sizes of our cakes. In addition to heart-shaped cakes in all colours and sizes we will do anything, of course within the laws of physics, that our customers order. Nowadays more and more people visit us with their special requests. Many find that a personalized present has something more to it, has a special quality rather than something that is stereotyped to boredom and on top of all is usually quite expensive. So it came that we were asked to make a phone box, a mobile phone, a goose, a mirror, a book, a small cottage, the map of Hungary, a couple sitting in a gondola, a piano, a painter's palette, a truck ... out of honey-cake! I cannot recite all these orders. We are also available to companies to produce small presents. Engaged couples often call on us to order small honey-cake hearts on which their names are written to be given away to their wedding guests on their reception.

Candles are not a misunderstanding. This tradition comes from the times when the honey-cake maker , after using up the honey, would make use of its by-product, wax, as well. These days, of course, the two crafts are entirely separated, since today's candles have nothing to do with bees or honey... However, carrying on the tradition Péter Petrits, my brother, has taken up candle-making. One can find in his workshop dipped candles along with casted ones, small lamps as well as giant candles that will burn cuntinuously for several weeks! Furthermore, one can find colourful and adorned candles to his liking, too.
